Hi I’m Tom Ackerson and I’m a Systems Administrator in Portland, ME. Some of the posts are very technical and others might not be. Some of the posts will be copied from elsewhere on the internet (sourced) and others will be original. For now this has been a nice central spot for me to keep a public notebook on things that help me out.

I’m local to Maine and I’ve spent nearly my whole life here. I went off to college and got a B.S. in M.I.S. at Clarkson University. Technically I’ve worked in a corporate data center since my junior year of high school. For now my largest interest lies around the topic of Virtualization. You may find other topics here including Active Directory, Exchange, Sharepoint, Storage management, ubuntu/gnu/linux, windows etc…

I’m a husband to a beautiful wife and a father to a great boy. You can talk to me about music (radiohead) and cycling anytime. I also really like any snow sport and basketball.
